Miranda Valinskas, P.Eng., P.Log - Owner & Managing Director
Miranda is a driven and entrepreneurial minded supply chain professional with 20 plus years of multi-faceted experience in supply chain/logistics design and engineering, process and performance management, strategic planning, and business development. Miranda has moved forward because of her keen interest in all aspects of the industry and her ability to expand on her managerial and technical knowledge across the entire business.
With extensive consulting, 3PL, and direct private/public industry experience, Miranda has demonstrated success in analyzing a client's dynamic business needs and translating them into cost effective, practical, and creative solutions. Prior to establishing Heartleaf Consulting, Inc., she held senior business development and supply chain leadership positions at top engineering/design firms and third party logistics providers that include Stantec Consulting Ltd., UPS Supply Chain Solutions, the Wheels Group and Giffels Associates.
Miranda has a B. Eng in Industrial Engineering from Concordia University and is a licenced Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Professional Engineers of Ontario. Miranda also completed the Executive Program in Supply Chain and Logistics Management from Schulich School of Business in Toronto Ontario, and is a certified Professional Logistician (P.Log.) and member of the Logistics Institute.
Ben Jones – Senior Consultant | Supply Chain Systems & Program Management
Ben is a 20+ year veteran providing Program/Project Consulting Services and Subject Matter Expertise in both design of and hands on implementation of ERP, WMS, Quality, SCM, Electronic Commerce, EDI, Material handling, Manufacturing, DC Design, Facility/Operation Planning and Startup, Business continuity, IT- Infrastructure, Communications, High availability, and Backup and Recovery.
Clients have included top brand names in Food and Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, Third Party Logistics, Consumer Electronics, Grocery, and Manufacturing industries.
Ben has pioneering experience in building highly integrated consumer direct distribution models as co-founder of Canada’s Grocery Gateway.com, designing and delivering from User interface design to the physical operation and implementation of Multi-Temperature, single item pick, high automation with a completely integrated Web store, capacity planning, routing, WMS and execution systems in combination with the successful launch of Wireless Debit in Canada.
Eva Nafekh – Senior Consultant | HR, Transition & Performance Management
Eva is a strategic Human Resources Consultant with over 15 years of experience as a proactive partner to senior management to guide in the development of performance and customer driven organizations. A creative, passionate and true leader recognized for her ability to engage people at all levels of the organization and rally towards finding solutions to enhance workplace effectiveness. She has a solid track record in optimizing and developing HR processes and tools, as well as designing customized business solutions such as new employee integration, recruitment and talent
development programs with deep expertise in pharmaceutical, information technology and government sectors.
Fluently bilingual, Eva is a repeat guest lecturer at Concordia and McGill University in Montreal Quebec, with proven effectiveness in providing vision, counsel and developing others within and outside corporate environments. An active member on the Beaconsfield Environmental Advisory Committee (BEAC), she has been involved in establishing the Environmental Strategic Plan and Communications Strategy, as well as a social marketing program to reduce waste.
Eva holds a Bachelor degree in Industrial Relations (Université de Montreal) and a Master degree in Educational Technology (Concordia University). She is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and is a member of the ASTD and ISPI.
Bruce Waters – Senior Consultant | Supply Chain Systems, Demand Planning & Execution (SAP/ERP)
Bruce Waters has 20 years of Supply Chain Management experience; having leadership positions in both Industry and Consulting. He participated in one of the first North American Go-Live of SAP R/3, with over 16 years of SAP ERP implementation experience, in various modules such as Advanced Planner and Optimiser (APO), Business Warehouse (BW), Production Planning (PP), Sales & Distribution (SD), Quality Management (QM), etc.
Clients have included top brand names within aerospace, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries. Bruce has been recognized for his mastery in managing both process and work stream teams and successfully transferring knowledge to the client by coaching team members on all aspects of implementation, from redesign to configuration and testing. Bruce has a B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering from Concordia University.
